Art Direction and Design for a Gaming Console

About the Project:
This gaming console serves as the “bookends” for an interactive, web-based corporate training curriculum. The curriculum consists of 13 modules that train customer services representatives on helping consumers with insurance open enrollment. Each module is a different game.

Users begin each module by logging into the console. They are then taken to the main console menu, where they can read a quick introduction about their next game, as well as key skills they’ll learn from the course.

Software:
Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Captivate

Primary Game Tiles

I created a game tile for each of the 13 modules. I drew inspiration from key visual elements or themes from its corresponding game.

Visit the Western Trail page in my portfolio for an example of a game.

Secondary Game Tiles

Each primary game tile has a corresponding secondary tile. These tiles appear multiple times throughout the curriculum to signal either upcoming or recently played games.

Video Demo

This video export from Adobe Captivate provides a basic walkthrough of the module with sound effects and animations.
